Beer, Glorious Beer!!

The Victoria is justifiably renowned for the fine quality and unparalleled range of cask ales available from our dedicated cellars. We take great pride in presenting beer to the highest standard and peak of condition and encourage you to sample some of the numerous styles on offer.

Our "normal" portfolio consists of twelve different ales, of which five are more or less regularly featured, namely Castle Rock Hemlock Ale, Everards Tiger, Caledonian Deuchars I.P.A., Batemans XB and usually one other from the Castle Rock stable. This list is then supplemented by a further six or seven ales from micro-breweries and family-run breweries from all over the country on a constantly rotating and evolving basis, including at least one mild and one porter or stout( for those with a dark side!). Draught Bass is also available and is served direct from the cask.

For those who favour the orchard to the barley field, we also offer a couple of traditional ciders (and sometimes perry) from our special cellar.

NB.
The Victoria offers about 500 different beers each year and so our beer boards change frequently! Please do not expect to see the same old range usually available from some of our "competitors"!
